The Alisal Union School District is located in Salinas, California, just 20 minutes from the Monterey Peninsula with its famous beaches and rich history.  It was once the home of Nobel Prize-winning author John E. Steinbeck.

We are a K-6 elementary district of 7,500 students, 95% of whom are Latino. Alisal offers a rich cultural climate and excellent support for teachers via strong professional development and instructional coaching, cutting-edge technology, and professional learning communities.  We offer competitive salaries (B.A. + 30 starting $59,745), an annual $5,500 stipend to teachers who possess a BCLAD/BCC and teach in our Bilingual Program, and an annual $1,650 stipend for Special Education teachers.  In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefit package, relocation stipend, and opportunities for advancement.
