The California Labor Management Initiative (CA LMI) is a partnership between the California Department of Education (CDE) and the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA), California County Superintendents Educational Services Agency (CCSESA), California Federation of Teachers (CFT), California School Boards Association (CSBA), California School Employees Association (CSEA), and the California Teachers Association (CTA), coordinated by the Californians Dedicated to Education Foundation (CDEF).

The Consortium for Educational Change is our partner and guide was we do this work in Alisal. “The Consortium for Educational Change (CEC) builds collaborative structures, processes, and cultures with and among key educational stakeholders including labor and management to transform educational systems to continuously improve student learning and achievement.”

Teacher Union Reform Network is another organization that is doing some innovative work to improve labor relations. "Teacher Union Reform Network is a union-led effort to strengthen the nation’s teachers unions by promoting progressive reforms that will ultimately lead to better learning for all students."
